As she opened her eyes
His face is all that she could see
She wanted to run to him
Her heart just wanted to flee
He sat miles away
Following his routine
Starting his day
He was unaware
He was ignorant
There was this one
With him whose world was done
She wanted nothing
But his arms to rest in
His name she called
For him she trolled
She knew not where the world was going
Her body moved but she knew not
What she was doing
As the hands of the clock moved
The time kept leaping
And she kept jumping
She knew she would see him soon
The one she loved
More than the stars and the moon
He grew on her in no time
She wanted none of it
It was all a crime
She tried and gave up
She stopped, blocked
Everything in her, he tore up.
He was ignorant
This gave her some peace
But the fear of love
Had her head creased
The wall she built was strong enough
No one could see through
She was glad it was that tough
Though deep down
She wanted him to take the pain
She wanted him to be the one to gain
She wanted to pull her heart out
And gift it to him
But the fear of shattering
Got her teeth chattering
She settled in
Programming to flip the switch
And then he walked in
And showed her face, the evil witch
She blocked her, from turning her emotions off
One smile and her heart again took off.
As the day ended, she walked back with a heavy heart
Smoked out to her greatest scath
Secretly hoping
Love will someday cross her path..!!
